February Results of the Jacobson Elementary Walking Program

Sunday, March 6, 2011

February Walking Program Results

Kindergarten: 57%(55% for January)

1st Grade: 35%(27% for January)

2nd Grade: 46%(41% for January)

3rd Grade: 31%(43% for January)

4th Grade: 62%(61% for January)

5th Grade: 45%(52% for January)

6th Grade: 53%(56% for January)

The school average for the month of February was 47% so not enough to do the “pie in the face” with Mr. Lewis.  Mr. Lewis said that he was willing to do the same challenge for the month of March.  So let’s work extra hard this month to accomplish that challenge.

This month we walked approximately 44,580 or 2,346 miles.  That was enough miles to walk from Belmond to the state capitols of North Carolina(Raleigh) and Connecticut(Hartford).

Congratulations to the 4th grade students for winning the top participation trophies once again.  Congratulations to the 1st grade classes for getting the most improved participation.

Special activity days were long and short jump rope, Sport Stacking, walking with the Belmond Medical Center and Wright Medical Center employees, and special appearance by Ryan Dugger.
